Welcome to the

June 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Clackamas County Fairgrounds
Canby Oregon

The NW Working Dogs Expo was a huge success
and a good time was had by all!
Here's just a brief recap of the event:

Friday night we had a special clinic for working dog owners titled
"Conformation Structure & Movement"
run by Mr. Butch Cappel

Saturday we started with a conformation show
through the National Canine Association (NCA)
Our Myst won the "Best Brood Bitch" competition.

(Here is Myst with her babies Bianca with Dee, Nefertiti and Kari,
and Zoe with David.)

(Here is Kris Munday with her Bordeaux Best In Show winner!)

Afternoon was the K9 ProSports NW Regional Trials.
Here we saw protection dogs in both the Training
and Personal Protection Divisions competing
and working toward their titles!

(Here is Eli and Angie Steagall, the winners of the PPD competition.)

K9 ProSports founder and master dogman Butch Cappel
personally administered our first regional trial.
He even put on a bite suit and decoyed!
What a treat!
(Here's Butch with Timothy Steagall and Bella Rosa's Lucius Veras)

We also had opportunities to do many demonstrations,
answer questions, and do flirt work with a
variety of breeds from Filas to Pitbulls,
Cane Corsos, Presas and Boerboels,
Black Russian Terriers and even
an awesome Renaissance Bull Dog
by the name of Balrog!

We did a lot of confidence building
and showed folks how to begin developing
their dogs prey drives.

Of course, Canine Good Citizen testing was available
throughout the weekend.
Here is Ellena of Pacific NW PitBull Rescue
with Petey, a very nice rescue dog.
He passed with flying colors!

Finally, we ended the weekend with the ATTS
(American Temperament Test Society).
This was a banner test for us. We had 33 dogs!
The pitbull public really came out, with 12 pits entered.
Way to put a dent in BSL, guys!
Out of 33 dogs, only 3 failed the test.
That's a success rate well above the national average!

We had a strong showing from the Fila Brasilieros,
whose beauty and protective instincts really added to the show!

(Here we see Timothy Steagall and Brian Lehfeldt doing agitation work
with some very nice Fila's. These dogs definitely have it!)
